Computer Engineering Department
(Under process for Accreditation)
The Department of Computer Engineering was initiated with an intake of 60 students in the year 1998 in the B.Tech. Computer Engineering Degree. The intake was increased to 120 students. The Department is constantly refurbishing its equipments and bringing in the State-of-Art Technologies for preparing Techno savvy Computer Engineers. The students have been constantly bringing honors by securing top positions at the University level. The students have been placed in Software Industry giants like Infosys, TCS, Sapient Tech, etc.
COMPUTER LABORATORIES:
Centre for computing facilities with 450 systems providing facilities round the clock internet access via 5 Mbps radio link. Six State of the Art computer laboratories and one Central Computing & Networking Facility (CCNF) equipped with requisite design tools are available as below:
1. Software Engineering Lab.
2. Web Technology Lab-I.
3. Web Technology Lab –II.
4. Operating System Lab.
5. Networking Lab.
6. Hardware Lab.
The Central Computing & Networking Facility (CCNF) is a class in its own. The centre has more than 125 terminals to work on, with internet connectivity (both wired & wireless) of a bandwidth of 5Mbps, round the clock. The centre is opened and available to the students and faculty members and they can utilize the resource anytime.
